By building and managing reliable and secure high-performance charging solutions, our mission is to support and accelerate the transition to zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles in Europe. The team is working quickly to scale up operations and network deployment.

While our Dutch offices are in Amsterdam and Arnhem, our focus is distinctly pan-European and we will be expanding to several other European countries in early 2023.

The Department

The Marketing & Data department concentrates on service- and product development for electric long haul trucking and include the complete Marketing Mix (Market Intelligence, Product Development, Charging Services, Pricing) and Data Services.

These products and services will at first focus on the driver and fleet owner experience. In due time products and services will be developed and provided for other stakeholders.

The department consist of 3 focus areas: Customer Journey and Market, Products and Services and Data. The Data team consists of Data Scientists and Data Analyst, who are part of the Marketing & Data team, and Data Engineers and Data Architect, who are part of the IT team. The Data team works for the entire Milence organization.

The Job

As Sr. Marketing Manager you have a special focus on the customer journey and you will create a deep understanding of our customers and generate various insights. You will do so while deep-diving into available market data and being in close contact with our customers.

By detailed analysis, you are able to map customer groups and determine their explicit and implicit needs. You will translate the needs and insights into compelling products or services. You will be promoting Milence existing and new products and services, by creating awareness and interest in various ways. Together with the product owner you will determine the pricing strategy and price point for specific products and services and consider the full marketing mix.

You will work closely with the products and services team, operations, public affairs and communication. Together and based on the information provided by these teams, you monitor the market and report regularly on market developments. You will make sure that the products and services developed by the product owner are turned into a compelling set of customer benefits.

You will report to the Director Customer and Market department.

Since we are an exciting new start-up, not all responsibilities have been defined yet, meaning you have the opportunity to help us shape your position further.

The job will be based in our Amsterdam and/or Arnhem office.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

You have more than 3 years’ experience in marketing for B2B or B2C products and services.

You are a master in market analysis, creating deep market understanding, generating insights and reporting this to others.

You understand and know how to create high impact promotional activities like events and communication for targeted customer groups.

Ideally you bring experience in disruptive product and service developments or markets and experience in the area of transport and logistics for trucks.

You are eager to understand the market of electric trucking and master it together with the rest of the Customer and Market department.

You like to work in a team as well are being able to work independently.

Your English is excellent (and if you do not speak Dutch that is fine).

You have a high learning potential - you quickly learn new skills, environments, people, are resilient.

Base salary level (all in) is oriented towards 70.000 EUR; on target annual incentive is 20% - with a maximum of 40%.
