Department - Finance

The department where the numbers do the talking. Combining sustainability with finance isn’t always an easy task, but our specialised teams cover all necessary functions, including accounting, reporting, planning and analysis. We are a professional and dedicated team, working across functions to build a sustainable future. Together with our Procurement and Supply Chain Team, as well as the Project Management Office, our common goal is to make a difference, and the finance department is pivotal in achieving this.

The Job – Public Funding Project Manager

As a Public Funding Project Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting various funding projects and processes within our organization. You will identify, analyze, develop, and manage projects related to European funding initiatives in the field of heavy-duty truck electrification.

Your primary responsibilities will be

The European Funding PM will work in close alignment with other departments in the organization, including Network Development, Public Affairs, Marketing & Data, as well as Technology to coordinate relevant data, and to implement successful projects.

  • Assisting in the preparation of funding applications, including qualitative inputs and quantitative analysis, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Coordinating ongoing financial projects, loans and DD processes as well as subsidies, with respect to timeline (Gantt chart), milestones, deliverables and periodic reports.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial analysis and qualitative information.
  • Assisting in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve our database, financial processes and streamline reporting procedures.

Job requirements

What are we looking for

  • You will have 3-4 years working experience in financial analysis and project management, experience in public loans and subsidies is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Economics, or related field.
  • You have experience in writing and substantiating winning funding applications and loans, including applied input and position papers in diverse fields such as business model development, network planning, and policy frameworks.
  • You have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Project Management tools.
  • You will have a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of finance and public funding, including public loans and subsidies both in the EU and national level.
  • You will have a solid understanding of finance principles, financial statements, valuation techniques, and key financial metrics.
  • You have great interest in the European electric vehicle ecosystem.
  • You bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Dutch and/or German as well as other European languages is a plus.
