The department - Finance

The department where the numbers do the talking. Combining sustainability with finance isn’t always an easy task, but our specialised teams cover all necessary functions, including accounting, reporting, planning and analysis. We are a professional and dedicated team, working across functions to build a sustainable future. Together with our Procurement and Supply Chain Team, as well as the Project Management Office, our common goal is to make a difference, and the finance department is pivotal in achieving this.

The Job – Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage a portfolio focusing on civil work and contracting which are needed for the Milence charging sites: Construction, Building, Fencing, Security, Hygiene, etc. Our Procurement department is data driven with a sustainability mindset combined with a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) approach. You will closely collaborate with our Finance, R&D, Operations and Legal departments acting as a project manager bringing the teams together.

Your responsibilities will be

  • Identifying, evaluating and selecting reliable vendors and contractors for civil and construction work.
  • Building supplier and category strategies for your portfolio on a country and European level.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Respecting construction budgets for Milence charging sites and site related CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Managing and updating internal procurement tools so reflect your portfolio.
  • Driving audits and due diligence of compliance, financials and sustainability.
  • Securing that your suppliers can support the ambitious Milence schedule.
  • Progress reporting of vendor selection, contract negotiations, contracting and team objectives.
  • Supporting on ad-hoc procurement related administration tasks.
  • Contributing to continuous process Improvements within procurement, supply chain and finance.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • You will have at least 5 years working experience in procurement preferably in construction and/or civil engineering.
  • You hold a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or similar field.
  • You are fluent in English and German languages.
  • You have knowledge of supply chain and understand how processes are interlinked and you are able to have a holistic view over projects.
  • You are a strong negotiator and can convert opportunities into strategy, improvements or innovations which contribute to better business performance.
  • You enjoy working both independently and in a team.
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.
  • You communicate effectively and collaborate well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have an affinity with the renewable energy sector/e-mobility.
  • You look forward to learning new things and pick them up quickly, this includes -new skills, environments, people skills and are resilient.
