Department - Reliability

Reliability is the cornerstone of accelerating the shift to electric transportation. Only by being extremely reliable can we guarantee seamless charging at Milence. Our Technology specialists focus on R&D, charging, energy storage, and (cyber)security. The Digital Factory is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of digital products and services, ensuring their alignment with the latest technological advancements. Our Data experts ensure data quality, governance, insights, analytics and reporting. They facilitate charging sessions, network planning, and real-time reservations. Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) is the central hub of on-site operations, monitoring site activity and maintenance. Our Operations team establishes and runs our service partner network for operational works on our charging hubs. Asset Management, supported by site engineers, is responsible for pro-active maintenance and investment decisions. They manage the assets of charging infrastructure, security solutions, power distribution, and facilities. The collaboration among our teams fosters cross-functional synergy, ensuring we provide the best rest and recharge experience.


The Job

The Network Operations Centre (NOC) will be built around 5 activities: monitor all operating sites in Europe; identify incidents and control; continuous improvement; pro-active control of charging infrastructure and training & development.

As Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operations of the Network Operating Centre. Your role is to ensure that the charging sites are running smoothly and the customers are satisfied.

As Charging Network Operations Engineer, you will:

  • Monitor all systems to oversee the reliability and availability of Milence charging hubs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance NOC efficiency and reliability.
  • Proactive detection and trouble shooting of issues that could arise on Milence Charging hubs.
  • Making a root cause analysis to resolve complex technical problems and escalate issues when necessary to internal and/or external stakeholders and follow through the ticket resolution process to ensure timely resolution of tickets.
  • Making sure that protocols are being followed when there is an emergency, incidents, maintenance works, facilities etc.
  • Manage and document incidents as per procedures and protocols, proactively identify trends.
  • Overseeing and planning routine maintenance tasks in cooperation with 3rd party partners
  • Monitor network performance and tools to detect and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure network operations comply with organizational policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Job requirements

What are we looking for

  • University degree preferably in engineering is required.
  • You have strong experience in a technical customer operations environment.
  • You have strong analytical skills, can diagnose and investigate various (technical) issues in relation to customer experience, propose solutions and lead the issue resolution process across internal and external stakeholders.
  • EV experience and technical background is preferred
  • You bring good technical acumen with ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • You have an understanding of technology & systems involved in essential EV-infrastructure service centres including power management and connectivity
  • You are customer focused with proficiency in using network monitoring tools.
  • You are analytical, strong in reporting and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • You bring excellent communication skills in English, any additional European language is advantageous,
