As a Jr Software Engineer at Milence, you will help design, build, test and operate the software behind our heavy-duty transport charging platform.
You will work on clearly defined features, components and services within our established architecture and engineering standards. You’ll have the autonomy to deliver your own work while collaborating with experienced engineers when tackling more complex or unfamiliar challenges.
Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, your work will span cloud back-end services, APIs, web applications and data integrations, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across the full software-development lifecycle
What you will do
Develop and maintain asynchronous, event-driven services using TypeScript and Node.js.
Build and maintain APIs and integrations using established architecture patterns.
Develop React or comparable front-end components that connect seamlessly with back-end services.
Implement database schemas, queries and data flows within agreed designs.
Apply security, privacy and data-protection principles throughout development, testing and production.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and logging.
Work with containerised and serverless deployments.
Support incident analysis and implement improvements that increase the reliability and maintainability of our services.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues across Product, Data, Technology and Software Engineering.
