The Department

The Information Technology Team is responsible for the end-to-end support and development of all digital products and services needed to achieve our mission and support our clients and colleagues in the best way possible.

Our stack is Azure based and hosted and we’re ramping up from a near greenfield situation. We’re looking to quickly setup a scalable data infrastructure, data pipelines and a state of the art DevSecOps process. We will be working with fantastic datasets to facilitate and monitor charging sessions, network location planning, route optimization, real-time reservations and smart charging.

You will be working closely with the other engineers and with the data science and data analysis team which are part of the customer journey, products and services team. We will be working in multidisciplinary teams creating insight driven strategic advantages for our company and end-users.

The Job

As our Data Architect, you will be leading the set-up of a cloud native data platform that is secure, compliant, automated, scalable and resilient. You will be working together with industry experts (we’re currently selecting external partners for the kickstart) and we will have access to senior support directly from Microsoft.

You’ll be leading and coaching the team in implementing proper data governance, integrations, pipelines, data cleansing and automating data quality measurements. You will also be the architect of our data platform and directly responsible for getting the most out of the experts we hire.

Since we are an exciting new start-up, not all responsibilities have been defined yet, meaning you have the opportunity to help us shape your position further.

The job will be based in our Amsterdam and/or Arnhem office.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

You have a clear vision on data architecture and are able to articulate that into a design and ultimately an implementation of our data platform.

You’re up to date with the latest developments, tooling and best practices that are required to build a modern data platform. This extends to supporting and advising us on the implementation of privacy and data governance.

You’ve led teams in the past and have experience leading hybrid, remote and diverse teams. You have a clear view on ‘hiring’ and are a mentor for our future junior data engineers.

You have worked with modern data architectures based on (cloud native) Azure solutions (e.g. DataFactory) and are familiar with tools such as DataBricks.

It would be a plus – but not a requirement - if you’re familiar with the setup of CI/CD, Data pipelines and Infrastructure as code.

Your English is excellent (and if you do not speak Dutch that is fine).

The base salary level (all in) is oriented towards 70.000 EUR; The on target annual incentive is 20% - with a maximum of 40%.
