The Department

Reliability is the cornerstone of accelerating the shift to electric transportation. Only by being extremely reliable can we guarantee seamless charging at Milence. The collaboration among our teams fosters cross-functional synergy, ensuring we provide of the best rest and recharge experience.

Our Technology specialists focus on R&D, charging, energy storage, and (cyber)security. The Digital Factory is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of digital products and services, ensuring their alignment with the latest technological advancements. Our Data experts ensure data quality, governance, insights, analytics and reporting. They facilitate charging sessions, network planning, and real-time reservations. Network Operations is the central hub of on-site operations, monitoring site activity and maintenance. Asset Management, supported by site engineers, is responsible for pro-active maintenance and investment decisions. They manage the assets of charging infrastructure, security solutions, power distribution, and facilities.


The Job

As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for the budgeting (cost estimates) of our future charging infrastructure. The sites will consist of both civil and electrical engineering aspects, as well as security and amenities.

On the basis of modular building blocks supplemented by any modifications and functional requirements, you will draw up the program of requirements. In addition to this, you will check the application of the correct modular building blocks and the associated costs, whereby the correct cost allocation in our financial system needs to be done.

By working closely with our strategic partners and contractors, you will analyse and optimise key figures on the basis of the delivered pre and post-calculations. Benchmarking, life cycle costing, and the total cost of ownership are part of this analysis. You will also carry out project cost estimates and calculations during the early stages of design, as well as completed projects.

In addition, you will be creating insights into what projects cost or have cost in the past in order to become better at predicting future costs.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • You have demonstrable, hands-on experience in a similar position, with specific experience in optimisation and application of modular building blocks within complex civil and electrical projects.
  • An ICEC certification is a big plus for us.
  • You are comfortable with creating & analysing data and strive to continue to improve.
  • You have the ability to work independently while also being able to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have affinity with the renewable energy sector/e-mobility. 
  • Your English is excellent; any additional European language is advantageous.
  • You underline our mission and values (reliable, sustainable, approachable, progressive and fast-paced), and enjoy learning new things.
  • You radiate energy, are a positive thinker and easily connect with others in informal ways.
