While our Dutch offices are in Amsterdam and Arnhem, our focus is distinctly pan-European and we will be expanding to several other European countries in early 2023.
The operations department is responsible for a timely and effective network roll-out and the performance of Milence's charging infrastructure across Europe. The key to this roll-out is ensuring a safe, secure and reliable way of working and standardized roll-out procedures with selected partners in each country.
In addition, operations must ensure timely permits, procurement of contracted goods and services, necessary grid connections and sustainable energy. Operations are also responsible for ‘uptime’ , as well for the Network Operating Centre; this includes a customer contact centre and the management and maintenance of all civil and electrical engineering assets required to operate the charging infrastructure, as well as other assets such as security solutions, power distribution, washroom facilities and Wi-Fi access.
As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for the budgeting (cost estimates) of our future charging infrastructure. The sites will consist of both civil and electrical engineering aspects, as well as security and amenities.
On the basis of modular building blocks supplemented by any modifications and functional requirements, you will draw up the program of requirements. In addition to this, you will check the application of the correct modular building blocks and the associated costs, whereby the correct cost allocation in our financial system needs to be done.
By working closely with our strategic partners and contractors, you will analyse and optimise key figures on the basis of the delivered pre and post-calculations. Benchmarking, life cycle costing, and the total cost of ownership are part of this analysis. You will also carry out project cost estimates and calculations during the early stages of design, as well as completed projects. In addition, you will be creating insights into what projects cost or have cost in the past in order to become better at predicting future costs.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates who have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with specific experience in optimisation and application of modular building blocks within complex civil and electrical projects.
An ICEC certification is a big plus for us.
You are comfortable with creating & analysing data and strive to continue to improve.
You have the ability to work independently while also being able to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
An affinity with the renewable energy sector/e-mobility.
Your English is excellent (and if you do not speak Dutch, that is fine).

The base salary level (all in) is oriented towards 75.000 EUR; The on target annual incentive is 20% - with a maximum of 40%.
