By building and managing reliable and secure high-performance charging solutions, our mission is to support and accelerate the transition to zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles in Europe. While our Dutch offices are in Amsterdam and Arnhem, our focus is distinctly pan-European and we will be expanding to several other European countries in early 2023.


The Department


The communications team is responsible for a broad range of deliveries, such as content production for company website & social media, organizing event and expo participation, and, together with agency partners, creating marketing campaigns, PR activations, and corporate and internal communications. In addition, the communications team is responsible for the development and governance of the Milence brand, its values, and related guidelines. This includes working cross-functionally to ensure the brand guidelines and company values are reflected in digital and physical touchpoints.


The Job


As Communications Project Manager you are responsible for developing, overseeing, and delivering a broad range of communications projects. In order to be successful in this job you must be able to work flexibly with a variety of communication project types of varying scope, small and large.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Working with PR and brand experience agencies, overseeing commercial brand introductions in multiple European markets, including local event production and content adaptation
  • Developing a strategy and plan for third-party event and expo participation, and then delivering on that plan
  • Overseeing marketing communications projects
  • Working cross functionally to align with operations, public affairs and customer & market teams on relevant projects
  • Ensuring transparency on project costs and monitoring budget

Since we are an exciting new start-up, not all responsibilities have been defined yet, meaning you have the opportunity to help us shape your position further and will be expected to work flexibly and proactively.


The job will be based in our Amsterdam and/or Arnhem office. Travel is required within this role to ensure its success.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?


We want to recruit someone with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Being able to work independently and quickly is essential for this position.


You communicate effectively and collaborate well with internal- and external stakeholders.


You have experience with the renewable energy sector and/or transportation.


Your English is excellent, and you preferably speak at least one of the following languages fluently (German, French or Swedish)

The base salary level (all in) is oriented towards 70.000 EUR. The on-target annual incentive is 20% - with a maximum of 40%.
